The Suspended Plug-in Emergency Module for LED High Bay is a specialized device designed to provide backup power supply to high bay luminaires with integrated LEDs and separate non-isolated LED drivers in the event of a power cut. It can be suspended with a luminaire, and it requires a permanent live un-switched supply to maintain the battery charge.
The emergency module is suitable for LED modules with a forward voltage of 30-270Vdc and can be used in maintained or non-maintained emergency lighting systems. It conforms to EN 61347-1 and EN 61347-2-7 and EN 61347-2-13, which are European standards for safety and performance requirements for lighting equipment.
The device is wired between the LED module and LED driver via a water-proof connector, making it suitable for use in luminaires for high-risk task area lighting. The voltage change-over threshold is according to EN 60598-2-22, which is a safety standard for lighting equipment. The emergency module has a 3-hour rated duration and a built-in non-replaceable Li-Ion battery pack.
The battery pack has over-charge, over-current, short-circuit, and deep discharge protection. It has a green charging status LED and a test button for a quick functional test. Additionally, the emergency module has an ON/OFF button for the battery pack, making it independent and easy to operate.
