operation of the emergency module and luminaire, without interfering with normal lighting operation
The suspended plug-in emergency module is a useful addition to high bay luminaires with integrated LEDs and separate non-isolated LED drivers. It ensures that lighting is available in the event of a power cut, providing a back-up supply to the integrated LEDs at a reduced output. The emergency module has several safety features, including over-charge, over-current, short-circuit, and deep discharge protection for the battery. It also has a green charging status LED and a test button for a quick functional test. Additionally, the ON/OFF button for the battery pack allows for independent operation of the emergency module and luminaire, without interfering with normal lighting operation. The emergency module is wired between the LED module and LED driver via a waterproof connector and is suitable for use in luminaires for high-risk task area lighting. The module conforms to EN 61347-1 and EN 61347-2-7 and EN 61347-2-13 and has a 3-hour rated duration. The voltage change-over threshold is in accordance with EN 60598-2-22.
